# Notion 3.4, part 1

By Steven Van · 2026-03-26

This month, we have a champagne problem: our engineers are shipping faster than ever, which means Notion 3.4 has too much to cover in a single email.

Notion's March update packs in several changes at once, starting with a new dashboard view for databases: charts, KPIs, and metrics combined into one view instead of a page of linked views, with the option to ask Notion Agent to build and update it. It's available on **Business** and **Enterprise** plans.

- A redesigned sidebar, opt-in for now, organised into four tabs for pages, agent chats, meetings, and notifications, with each section toggleable.

- A presentation mode that turns a page into a slideshow without rebuilding it, triggered with ⌘+opt+P on Mac or Ctrl+alt+P on Windows. It's in beta for everyone on Plus, Business, and Enterprise.

- A "tabs" block for organising content into clickable sections instead of subpages.

- In-page generation of images, charts, slides, and diagrams by asking the agent, so visuals stay attached to the page they're built for.

- Archived pages: old pages can be marked archived instead of deleted, staying accessible but hidden from search by default, which the release notes say improves AI responses.

- Smaller additions: H4 headers, a Markdown Content API for tools to read and write Notion directly, and SDK improvements including automatic retries and Meeting Notes support.
