# Mute discussion replies

By Steven Van · 2026-04-08

Keep your notifications clean by muting replies to discussions you no longer find relevant.

Notion is adding a way to mute replies on individual discussions. Muting a thread stops its notifications, but they resume automatically if someone @-mentions the user or they post a new comment. Threads can also be unmuted manually at any time via the ••• menu.
