# Filter properties on page writes

By Steven Van · 2026-08-12

Create a page and Update page properties now accept the same filter\_properties query parameter as Retrieve a page.

[**Notion**](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/notion>) announced [**Filter properties on page writes**](<https://developers.notion.com/page/changelog#august-12-2026>) on August 12, 2026.

## What changed

Create a page and Update page properties now accept the same filter\_properties query parameter as Retrieve a page. Pass the IDs of the properties you want, and the write response includes only those properties. This keeps responses small and fast for pages with many properties. SDK support: @notionhq/client v5.25.0 adds filter\_properties to pages.create() and pages.update().
