# Delete pages and databases in Notion MCP

By Steven Van · 2026-10-13

Each tool handles up to 20 items per call, requires user confirmation and needs the update content capability.

Two new tools in [Notion](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/notion>) MCP move content to Trash after the user confirms the deletion.

## Delete pages or databases in batches

notion-delete-pages moves up to 20 pages to Trash. notion-delete-databases moves up to 20 databases, including their rows. Both tools require the update content capability, and locked pages and databases cannot be moved to Trash.

## Undo a deletion

To undo a deletion, use notion-restore-pages or restore the item from Trash in Notion. The [Supported tools documentation](<https://developers.notion.com/guides/mcp/mcp-supported-tools>) lists the MCP tools.
