# Create teamspace root pages with Notion MCP

By Steven Van · 2026-10-06

Creating top-level pages requires a user-backed connection with permission to add them.

Pages created through [Notion](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/notion>) MCP can now sit directly at the top level of a teamspace.

## Set the teamspace as the parent

The notion-create-pages tool now accepts parent.teamspace\_id to create a page directly in that teamspace. This requires a user-backed connection with permission to add top-level pages.

The [announcement](<https://developers.notion.com/page/changelog#october-6-2026>) points to the Teamspace root pages documentation for details and an example.
