# Control notifications from page writes

By Steven Van · 2026-10-08

Silent writes skip page update and @mention notifications while database automations, reminders, and connection webhooks keep working.

Developers can now choose whether a page write in [Notion](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/notion>) sends page update and @mention notifications. Setting notifications.mode to silent skips those notifications for that change.

The [October 8 update](<https://developers.notion.com/page/changelog#october-8-2026>) covers Create a page, Update a page, and Append block children. Database automations, reminders, and connection webhooks continue to work as usual.
