# Subscribe to Netlify events from ChatGPT

By Steven Van · 2026-10-07

Automations can flag form submissions for follow-up or summarize changes after a successful production deploy.

Successful deploys, failed builds and new form submissions can now trigger automations in ChatGPT through [Netlify](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/netlify>). ChatGPT can act when an event happens, without users checking the dashboard or waiting for an email.

## Automations that respond to site events

Event subscriptions can work alongside the Netlify ChatGPT plugin and Netlify MCP server. Examples include reviewing new form submissions and flagging those that need a follow-up, or summarizing what changed after a successful production deploy.

## Set up subscriptions in ChatGPT

Connect Netlify in ChatGPT, then ask it to subscribe to the events that matter for a project. The automations live in ChatGPT, where users can describe what they want in plain language and adjust it as their workflow changes.
