# GPT-6.1 Sol now available in AI Gateway and Agent Runners

Netlify Functions can call OpenAI's newest model through the OpenAI SDK with no API keys, and it also works in Scheduled, Background and Edge Functions.

OpenAI's GPT-6.1 Sol model is now available through [Netlify](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/netlify>)'s AI Gateway and Agent Runners, with [zero configuration required](<https://www.netlify.com/changelog/gpt-6-1-sol-ai-gateway-agent-runners/>). The OpenAI SDK works directly in Netlify Functions, with no API keys or authentication to manage. AI Gateway handles that automatically.

Netlify's example uses the Responses API: create a new OpenAI() client with no arguments, then call openai.responses.create with the model set to gpt-6.1-sol.

GPT-6.1 Sol is also available in Scheduled Functions, Background Functions and Edge Functions. Calls get Netlify's caching, rate limiting and authentication infrastructure automatically.
