# Comment on specific lines of code in Agent Runners

By Steven Van · 2026-10-06

Comments accompany the next prompt, letting users request changes across multiple files in a single follow-up run.

Feedback on generated code in [Netlify](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/netlify>) Agent Runners can now point directly to a line in the diff. Previously, follow-up prompts had to identify the problem by naming a file, quoting code or describing a function.

## Attach comments to the next prompt

Open an agent run’s Code tab, select the + next to a line in the diff and leave a comment describing the change. Comments are sent along with the next prompt, giving the agent the exact code locations the feedback refers to.

## Review several changes in one run

Comments can flag bugs or edge cases, request a different approach to part of a change, or identify naming, styling and structure issues. Feedback can cover several spots across multiple files in a single follow-up run, as described in the [announcement](<https://www.netlify.com/changelog/2026-10-06-agent-runners-diff-line-comments/>).
