# Motion 13.5.0

By Steven Van · 2026-10-01

Motion 13.5.0 adds overdamped springs via negative bounce, shrinks m by 20%, and moves all scroll offset animations to the main thread.

Motion 13.5.0 lets spring take a negative bounce value, which defines an overdamped spring. The accepted range is given as 0 to -1.

The release also trims bundle size and changes how scroll offsets are handled. Per the [Motion changelog](<https://motion.dev/changelog?lib=motion#13-5>), which lists this under the Motion library that [Motion Studio](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/motion-studio>) works with:

## Changed

- m is 20% smaller.

- useSpring is 10% smaller.

- scroll and useScroll now use the main thread for all offset animations.

## Fixed

- Warning and error messages are now cleaned from the production build.

- Values are never rendered before they have been resolved.
