# Testing Thinking Mode

By Steven Van · 2026-10-08

Testers on the Alpha website can rerun existing jobs and share feedback on prompt accuracy, typography, and coherence.

A new image generation test on [Midjourney](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/midjourney>)’s Alpha website lets users rerun an existing job with “Thinking Mode”. Midjourney says its tests show improvements in prompt accuracy, typography, and coherence.

## Rerun an existing job

Open a job’s lightbox on the Alpha website, then click “Rerun (Thinking)” in the lower right corner beneath it.

## Feedback during testing

The [announcement](<https://updates.midjourney.com/testing-thinking-mode/>) asks testers to share examples and opinions in #ideas-and-features, including where the mode helps, where it does not, and any other issues they find.

Midjourney says it may eventually offer Thinking Mode more broadly or provide a way to “add more thinking” after a job. Those options remain possibilities while it tests this approach.
