# Maket lets you drag rooms around an AI floor plan

By Steven Van · 2026-10-30

Move Rooms reshapes walls, doors, and circulation as you drag, and a move snaps back if it would trap a room.

Move Rooms is live in Maket, so a floor plan can be rearranged by dragging rooms instead of redrawing walls. [Maket](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/maket>) posted it on October 30 with the line drag, drop, done. The help center, updated the same week, explains the tool.

Official Maket announcement demo.

Click Move, or start dragging a room. The plan switches to labeled blocks. Drop a room and the rooms around it compress, while the exterior walls stay. Drop one room onto another and the two swap, each staying close to its original size. A built-in closet or ensuite moves with its bedroom, and you cannot pull it out alone.

A drag snaps back if it would leave a room with no way in, or if it would separate a built-in from its parent room. Undo is in the top toolbar, or with the usual shortcut. Finishes stay as they were. The post does not name a plan or a credit cost for the move.
