# Macro adds Routines powered by a unified events system

By Steven Van · 2026-10-23

Macro Routines run automations from triggers such as a call ending or an email arriving, across Macro’s email, calendar, tasks, docs and CRM.

Official Macro Routines announcement demo.

Routines start from triggers such as “call ended,” “message sent in bug-reports” or “email received,” then run the automation you set up.

They run on what Macro calls its Unified Events System, a single events system across email, calendar, tasks, calls, docs and CRM. Macro argues that because it covers all of those surfaces itself, it can know when things happen across them and let you automate around them.
