# LinkedIn profiles can now show which apps you actively use

A connected app writes its own description of your real activity, and top users get a "Top User" badge.

LinkedIn is expanding the ability to feature the apps you use every day directly on your [LinkedIn](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/linkedin>) profile, building on early work with Descript, Duolingo, Lovable, Relay.app, and Replit.

Once you connect an app, it generates a description of your real activity, for example "Creates and sends segmented email campaigns in HubSpot's Marketing Hub" rather than just listing that you use HubSpot. The app supplies this text and it can't be edited, but it updates automatically as your usage changes. If you're among an app's most engaged users, a "Top User" signal appears on your profile too. Connected apps show up in a new connected apps section on the profile. LinkedIn says over a million members have already connected apps, and it's continuing to add more apps to the programme (full [announcement](<https://news.linkedin.com/2026/visibility-builds-credibility---the-tools-you-use-every-day--now>)).
