# HyperFrames v0.8.42

By Steven Van · 2026-09-16

Fixes cover non-Latin-1 filenames in Studio, HDR tone-mapping on forced SDR renders, and orphaned render workers after Ctrl-C.

[HyperFrames](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/resources/hyperframes>) **v0.8.42** fixes several rendering and preview issues, described in the [changelog](<https://hyperframes.heygen.com/changelog#hyper-frames-v0-8-42>).

- Studio preview and render downloads now work for compositions and files with non-Latin-1 names: the Studio server serves downloads with RFC 6266 Content-Disposition headers and hashes sub-composition paths into ASCII-safe ETags to stop the preview server crashing.

- Forced --sdr renders now tone-map HDR sources before frame extraction, fixing a cool color cast that previously didn't match the Studio preview.

- check --json now reports HDR auto-promotion, including the triggering asset and resulting output pipeline, and prints a single render warning when it fires.

- Render and preview worker processes no longer survive as orphans after Ctrl-C, a parent exit, or a stopped Windows wrapper. Cancellation now carries through to final artifact promotion, so a cancelled render can't replace an existing output. A new HYPERFRAMES\_RENDER\_DETACHED=1 setting is available for renders meant to run detached.
