# Higgsfield's Layers splits images into editable pieces

By Steven Van · 2026-08-11

Higgsfield's new editor decomposes any uploaded or generated image into independent layers with 4K output.

Higgsfield has introduced Layers, an image editor built around layer decomposition. Uploading or generating an image splits it into separate layers that can be edited independently, so a creator can regenerate a single piece of text or one object without touching the rest of the composition.

- Layer decomposition on any uploaded or generated image

- Flawless text rendering

- Native 4K output
