# Higgsfield plugins for Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects

By Steven Van · 2026-05-27

The installer adds a Higgsfield panel to Premiere Pro and After Effects, with generation billed against existing plan credits and no separate subscription.

Higgsfield now has plugins for Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. One installer adds a Higgsfield panel with five tools to both apps, so clips are processed without exporting or switching windows. [Higgsfield](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/higgsfield>) describes the release in its [announcement](<https://higgsfield.ai/plugins/after-effects>).

## The five tools

- **Reframe:** crops a clip to 9:16, 16:9, 4:3, 3:4, 21:9 or 1:1, with subject tracking to keep the focal point centred.

- **Remove Background:** pulls a key from any footage without a green screen, with an alpha channel ready for compositing.

- **Upscale:** raises a clip to 4K or 8K with detail restoration.

- **Draw to Edit:** draw over the frame to mark what to change, such as removing an object, adding an element or replacing an area.

- **Edit Video:** prompt-based editing in plain language.

## Getting started

The installer is available for macOS and Windows. The macOS build is a .dmg that works on both Apple Silicon and Intel and needs no helper app. Open the .dmg, drag Higgsfield to Applications and launch the installer, which detects After Effects automatically. Then open Premiere Pro or After Effects and find Higgsfield under Window, Extensions.

## Credits and requirements

Generation runs on Higgsfield's servers and uses the credits of your plan. No separate subscription is needed. The plugin page lists Adobe Premiere Pro 2025 or newer and After Effects 2025 or newer, while the release note says Adobe 2024 or newer.
