# HeyGen's API can now auto-clip long videos for social

A single call scores and cuts up to 10 vertical, square, or landscape clips, with optional auto captions.

The [HeyGen](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/heygen>) API now includes AI Clipping: a single call turns a long video into scored, social-ready clips. The model can pick highlights on its own, follow plain-language instructions, or work from exact timestamps.

- Up to 10 clips per job, each with a confidence score

- Optional auto captions

- Output in 9:16, 1:1, or 16:9
