# Grok Build can now run hundreds of agents on one task

By Steven Van · 2026-07-23

A new Workflows feature plans, parallelizes, and reports back on jobs too big for a single chat, like triaging 100+ issues.

Grok added a way to take on work that doesn't fit in a single chat. Workflows are now in Grok Build: hand Grok a task a single conversation can't hold, triage 100+ issues, or review thousands of lines of code in detail, and **Build plans the work, runs up to hundreds of agents in parallel, and comes back with one report**.

## Beyond what one context can hold

The framing names the real limit of chat-based AI: a single conversation can only hold so much. Some tasks, auditing a huge codebase, triaging a mountain of issues, are too big to fit, no matter how capable the model. Workflows breaks that ceiling by decomposing the job and fanning it out: Grok plans the work, spins up many agents to cover it in parallel, and synthesizes their results into one report. It's the difference between one worker reading everything sequentially and a team splitting the load.

## Hundreds of agents, one answer

Running up to hundreds of agents in parallel is what makes scale-heavy tasks tractable in reasonable time. But the crucial word is "one report", the value isn't the fan-out, it's the synthesis. Hundreds of agents producing hundreds of fragments would just be more to read. Grok collapsing that back into a single coherent report is what turns parallel scale into something a human can actually act on.

## Orchestration is the pattern of the moment

Grok Workflows joins a clear trend, structured multi-agent orchestration as the way to take on jobs one model instance can't. It's the same shape behind broad audits, migrations, and sweeps: decompose, fan out, verify, synthesize. For teams facing genuinely large tasks, review at scale, mass triage, big migrations, a built-in way to plan and parallelize is more useful than a smarter single chat.

## Try it

Workflows are available in Grok Build now, call the /Workflow skill to start. The tasks where it shines are the ones you'd never attempt in a single conversation: point it at a large codebase review or a big backlog triage and let it fan the work out.
