# Google Meet next steps draft the follow-up email

By Steven Van · 2026-10-27

Google Meet next steps can draft a follow-up email and send action items to Tasks. Rollout started October 5 for specific Workspace plans.

On October 27, Google posted about next steps in [Google Meet](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/google-meet>). The feature did not start that day. The Workspace blog is dated October 12, and rollout began October 5, with an extended rollout that can run past 15 days.

Two routines draft a follow-up in Gmail or send action items to Google Tasks. They show after the call when Take notes for me was on, the meeting is on Calendar, and you use a computer with a work or school account. The email draft also needs you as host, a meeting that is not a repeating series, and at least one outside participant.

The plans are Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, and Google AI Pro for Education. You can turn a step off, not rewrite it. A suggestion may not appear. Google says more routines are coming.
