Google shows six ways Sheets canvas, powered by Gemini 3.8 Flash, turns spreadsheet data into interactive mini apps that sync back to the sheet.

Google has published a guide to [Gemini](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/gemini>) powered Sheets canvas, a feature that turns spreadsheet data into custom, interactive mini apps, with six examples to get started.

Sheets canvas uses the Gemini 3.8 Flash model. You describe the visualization you need in natural language, and any change made in the visual layout, such as updating a task status or adding a milestone, is written back to the underlying spreadsheet in real time. It is available to Workspace customers on Business and Enterprise Standard and Plus plans, Google AI Pro and Ultra personal plans, and Google AI Pro for Education, from Insert > Create a canvas in any Google Sheet.

- Turn a task tracker into a drag-and-drop Kanban board organized by custom status categories.

- Consolidate dense metrics into an executive dashboard with scorecards, trend lines, and filters.

- Convert a financial forecast into an interactive scenario model without breaking formulas.

- Map event data onto a visual timeline and run-of-show calendar.

- Plot a backlog on a 2x2 priority matrix, or structure brainstorm results into a workshop board with voting.
