# Gemini Live now opens inline in the Gemini app

Gemini Live now opens inline within the [Gemini](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/gemini>) app instead of launching separately, so switching between a quick typed question and a longer voice conversation happens in the same window. Google says the change also makes Live faster and less prone to picking up background noise.
