# Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS and Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite TTS generally available (GA)

Google's new TTS models add studio-grade voices, a replacement for the flash-tts preview, and a 150+ voice library via the Gemini API.

[Gemini](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/gemini>) 3.8 Flash TTS and Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite TTS are now generally available, alongside a new Voices endpoint (/v1beta/voices) in the Gemini API.

- Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite TTS (gemini-3.8-flash-lite-tts) is a faster, cost-efficient model built to replace gemini-3.1-flash-tts-preview for high-throughput production and real-time voice agent cascades.

- Voice design and voice replication let developers create custom vocal personas from text prompts or replicate a voice with consent verification, and the Extended Voice Library adds 150+ prebuilt and custom voices.
