# Profiles now show your highest achievement badge tier

By Steven Van · 2026-09-11

GitHub now shows the highest badge tier earned on multi-level achievements instead of the first one reached.

GitHub profiles now display the highest tier earned for achievements that have multiple levels, rather than the first tier reached. Previously a profile could keep showing an early tier even after a user progressed further, so the change means a [GitHub](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/github>) profile now better reflects the latest achievement and progress made on the platform.
