# New dashboard experience now the default

By Steven Van · 2026-10-01

The redesigned dashboard groups agent sessions, issues and pull requests, moves the feed to its own tab, and can be switched off via the Preview dropdown.

The new [GitHub](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/github>) dashboard, which had been a feature preview, is now the default view for everyone, as [announced in the GitHub changelog](<https://github.blog/changelog/2026-10-01-new-dashboard-experience-now-the-default>).

- Active agent sessions, issues and pull requests appear in one place.

- Filters set what shows in each section, with up to 12 items per list.

- Updates move to a separate Feed tab, so the feed stays apart from the dashboard.

- Work can start from the dashboard, such as assigning an issue to Copilot coding agent or opening a pull request in Copilot Chat.

Anyone who prefers the previous experience can switch back at any time using the dropdown next to "Preview".
