# GitHub Copilot weekly releases — September 21

JetBrains agent sessions get assisted tool approvals, message re-editing, and organization-wide shared skills and instructions.

[GitHub Copilot for JetBrains](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/github>) 1.18.0 adds three changes to agent sessions, as covered in this week's Copilot [release notes](<https://github.blog/changelog/2026-09-22-new-features-and-improvements-in-copilot-for-jetbrains/>).

- Assisted approvals, now in public preview, automatically approve low-risk tool calls in agent sessions while still prompting for higher-risk actions.

- You can re-edit an earlier message in an agent session; Copilot rewinds both the conversation and file changes before sending the replacement request.

- Organization and enterprise skills, along with organization-managed custom instructions, now work in both local and Copilot agent sessions.
