# Gemini Omni gives 10 free video edits through August 4 By Steven Van · 2026-07-29 The trial lets users edit objects and scenes with Gemini's unified video model before it closes at 11:59pm PT. [Gemini]() is offering a limited-time way to try its video editing model: create up to **10 videos with Gemini Omni at no cost**, through 11:59pm PT on August 4, 2026. It's a straightforward trial push, get real usage in front of people before the free window closes. ## What Gemini Omni actually edits Gemini Omni is Google's unified model for editing video from text, image, or existing footage, and the promotion specifically calls out changing objects within a scene and adding interactions between a subject and its space, edits that go beyond simple filters or trims into genuinely altering what's happening in a shot. Google shared a thread of favorite use cases alongside the offer, positioning Omni as a tool for substantive edits rather than just polish. ## Why a free trial window, and why now Time-boxed free access is a common way to convert curiosity into habitual use, ten free videos is enough to genuinely test the model on a real project rather than a single throwaway demo, and a hard deadline creates urgency to try it before the trial evaporates. It also follows Gemini's [recent expansion to 160+ new countries]() for Spark, part of a broader push to get more people actively using Gemini's newer capabilities. ## Worth trying before it closes For creators curious about AI video editing but hesitant to commit to a paid tier, this is a low-risk way to test whether Gemini Omni's object and scene editing fits an actual workflow, with the trial closing at 11:59pm PT on August 4, 2026. ![Gemini]() Gemini Google's AI assistant for chat, research, writing, and creative generation.
