# Gemini can now use your Google Maps places for daily recommendations By Steven Van · 2026-10-22 With your permission, Gemini can draw on your Google Maps searches and saved places alongside Google Calendar to tailor suggestions for your day. Google’s [Gemini]() app can now look at your Google Maps searches and saved places when it plans your day, Google announced on October 22. It combines them with your Google Calendar to make recommendations that fit where you have been looking and what is already on your schedule. Google stresses that this only happens with your permission, so the connection has to be switched on before Gemini can use your Maps history. In practice, a question like where to eat between meetings can draw on places you have saved or searched for, rather than a generic list. Google did not say which countries or plans get the feature first. Sources: [Gemini app’s announcement on X]().
