# Framer launches an MCP so AI tools can build and edit your site

By Steven Van · 2026-10-22

The Framer MCP lets ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and Grok design, build and update Framer sites while keeping Framer’s own controls in place.

[Framer](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/framer>) launched the Framer MCP on October 22. It connects AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and Grok to your Framer projects, so you can ask them to design, build and update a site.

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the standard many AI assistants use to work inside other apps. With Framer’s server connected, an assistant can make changes in your site directly instead of handing you code to paste in.

Framer pitches it as a way to use AI without giving up the flexibility, reliability and control of building in Framer. Setup instructions are on Framer’s MCP page.
