By Steven Van · 2026-03-27

The tool is no longer limited to the canvas, so you can pick a color from another app, browser window, or the desktop.

Figma's eyedropper can now sample colors from anywhere on screen, not just inside the canvas. Pick a color from another app, a browser window, or your desktop, and use it directly in a Figma design.
