Paired with C2PA Content Credentials (cryptographic metadata showing how a file was created and edited), it gives OpenAI a two-layer system for proving where an image came from. **The move is part of a bigger Google partnership. **SynthID is Google DeepMind's watermarking tech, and Google announced the same day that it's bringing it to OpenAI, Kakao, and ElevenLabs (three of the biggest names in AI image, music, and voice).
