# Motion adds custom styles, audio, text animations and Lottie export By Steven Van ยท 2026-09-30 Figma's Motion beta now saves reusable animation styles, adds audio to the timeline, animates text by character, word or line, and exports Lottie. Motion in [Figma]() now supports custom animation styles, audio, text animations and Lottie export, all in an [open beta release](). - **Custom animation styles:** save a style with custom easing, duration and other variable-backed properties, then apply it across designs. Styles can be combined into a richer animation saved as a single pattern, and published to libraries so every file draws from the same sets. Figma agent and coding agents can apply styles automatically via MCP or Skills. - **Audio:** drag an audio file onto any motion clip or timeline, then trim, split and reposition it against keyframes. Audio exports alongside the animation in MP4 and WebM. - **Text animation:** animate individual characters, words or lines within a text layer. The text stays fully editable after the animation is applied. - **Lottie export:** export animations as a Lottie or dotLottie file.
