# Voices: Voice replication across data residencies

ElevenLabs has added an endpoint for copying voices between workspaces that share a consolidated billing group. The new POST /v1/voices/{voice\_id}/replicate-to-isolated-environment call lets an Instant Voice Clone or Voice Design voice be replicated into another workspace's isolated environment by passing a target\_workspace\_id; a preserve\_voice\_id option, on by default, keeps the same voice ID in the target workspace, and the response returns the new voice\_id.

Character responses in [ElevenLabs](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/elevenlabs>) also gained a recommended\_voice\_ids list, and character metadata now includes a nullable role field. The CharacterAge value middle-aged has been renamed to middle\_aged, a breaking change for anyone matching on the old string.
