# ElevenLabs adds invisible SynthID watermarks to generated audio

By Steven Van · 2026-06-25

A new free Audio Detector lets anyone check whether a clip was made with ElevenLabs.

ElevenLabs is embedding **SynthID**, Google DeepMind's inaudible watermark, directly into audio generated on the platform. The watermark is detectable using ElevenLabs' new, free Audio Detector, so anyone can check whether a clip was made with [ElevenLabs](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/elevenlabs>).
