# Instant Soundtracks scores your video with music and timed sound effects

Upload a video to ElevenCreative and get an original score plus sound effects placed at the right timestamps, on separate layers you can edit.

[ElevenCreative](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/elevencreative>), the creative platform from [ElevenLabs](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/elevenlabs>), launched Instant Soundtracks on October 15. Upload a video and the model scores it with original music, then watches the footage for moments that call for a sound effect and places each one at the right timestamp, all in one pass.

## How it works

Generated effects are placed on the timeline automatically. ElevenLabs’ example is a whoosh timed to the logo at the end of an ad. You can also use the video’s existing audio as a reference: the model analyzes qualities such as genre, crescendos, beats per minute or instrumentation and uses them to shape the new score, so it matches the character of the original instead of starting from scratch.

The update also tightens timing for short-form video around cuts, transitions and on-screen actions, and switches mood across scenes more accurately. For example, a fast-paced scene might get an EDM or R&B track before the music moves to acoustic guitar for a slower, more intimate scene.

## Editing and availability

In the ElevenCreative Music Video Editor, sound effects sit on separate layers, so you can adjust them independently of the soundtrack, add more effects, change timing or swap the music without starting over, then export directly from ElevenCreative.

Instant Soundtracks is available now in the Music Video Editor, Creative Engine, ElevenMusic and the ElevenCreative Studio API, which adds the add\_sfx, separate\_tracks and use\_audio\_as\_reference parameters. With separate\_tracks=true, the API returns the music and sound effects as separate files in a ZIP. Each request supports up to 10 videos, combined up to 200 MB and 10 minutes. The announcement does not list pricing.
