# Sign in with ChatGPT

Devin Pro, Max and Teams users can bill OpenAI model usage in Cloud, Desktop and CLI to an eligible ChatGPT Plus or Pro plan.

Devin now supports signing in with ChatGPT. Anyone with an eligible ChatGPT Plus or Pro plan can use that plan for OpenAI model usage in [Devin](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/devin>), across Devin Cloud, Devin Desktop and Devin CLI, [according to Devin](<https://devin.ai/blog/sign-in-with-chatgpt>). The feature is available on Devin **Pro, Max and Teams** plans.

## How usage is counted

Usage in Devin counts toward the Codex and ChatGPT Work usage already included in the ChatGPT plan. Devin can use all of it, or a lower limit can be set for Devin in the ChatGPT settings. When that limit is reached, sessions keep running on the user's Devin usage until it resets.

## Devin Cloud

OpenAI models are part of the model mix Devin Cloud uses in Lite, Normal, Ultra and Fusion modes. Once a ChatGPT account is connected, the ChatGPT plan pays for the OpenAI-model share of each session, while other models draw down from the included Devin quota. Devin also takes the connected plan into account when choosing models, leaning more on OpenAI models so that more of each session runs on usage the user already has.

Devin says GPT models are particularly strong at computer use, so its testing agent may use them when it opens an app in a browser and clicks through it to check its own work. GPT-6 Sol is also available in Devin Cloud as a research preview.

## Devin Desktop and CLI

On a local machine, the user picks the model. Any GPT model can be selected in Devin Desktop or Devin CLI, and requests are billed to the ChatGPT plan.

To stretch the plan further, Devin suggests Fusion with GPT-6 Astra as the lead and SWE-2 as the free sidekick. The lead plans and reviews and hands most of the implementation to the sidekick, so Astra spends fewer tokens per task. Citing the Artificial Analysis Coding Agent Index, Devin says Fusion with Astra and SWE-2 is 39% less expensive than running a session with Astra alone.
