# Rust SDK v0.12.0

By Steven Van · 2026-10-12

Streaming fixes prevent hangs and expose terminal transport errors, while sends on ended /v1/listen sessions now return Err.

Streaming sessions in the [Deepgram](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/deepgram>) Rust SDK now avoid a hang when the response channel fills up. Version 0.12.0 also delivers the terminal transport error to application code and preserves unknown streaming frames.

## Streaming error handling

The hang fix applies to /v1/listen and /v2/listen sessions. This pre-1.0 release also changes what happens when an application sends data on an ended /v1/listen session: the call now returns Err, where v0.11.0 returned Ok(()).

## WebSocket requests

WebSocket requests now send the full authority in the Host header. The [release notes](<https://github.com/deepgram/deepgram-rust-sdk/releases/tag/0.12.0>) also list fixes to feature documentation and SKILL.md frontmatter parsing.
