# Cursor adds a faster mode for Claude Opus 4.7

The mode runs 2.5x faster at 6x the cost; Cursor recommends it only when turnaround matters more than price.

Cursor's [Cursor](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/cursor>) editor now offers a fast mode for Claude Opus 4.7, running at 2.5x the normal speed for 6x the cost. Cursor recommends sticking with standard speed for most tasks, reserving the faster option for cases where turnaround time matters more than cost.
