# Claude voice mode now works with Apple CarPlay

Ask from the iPhone while driving, though the posts list no plan and the release notes skip this update.

On October 29, 2026, [Claude](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/claude>) said voice mode on iPhone now works with Apple CarPlay, so you can ask something on the drive and keep your hands on the wheel. The same thread also covers a faster voice mode, a side-by-side view on iPad and iPhone Duo, more than one account, a laptop-style Android layout, and 24 more app languages. The posts name no price, plan, or rollout window, and Anthropic's help-center release notes still stop at October 21.

## Voice on the drive

The CarPlay line is for iPhone. The thread does not mention Android Auto, a wake word, or control of the car or the phone. Voice mode on iOS and Android answers sooner and hears you better in a noisy room or when you speak quietly. Speech in languages other than English sounds more natural, and voice now runs on more Android phones. The posts do not list those phones or the languages that changed.

## Beside the chat

On iPad and iPhone Duo, what Claude makes now opens beside the chat instead of over it, and goes full screen when you want a closer look. On iOS and Android you can stay signed into more than one account and switch without signing out. On Chromebooks, Googlebooks, and foldables, Claude on Android works like a laptop app, with a resizable sidebar, trackpad and right-click, and the same keyboard shortcuts as Claude Desktop. The post says Googlebooks and does not define that group.

## More languages

On web, desktop, iOS, and Android, the app is now in 24 more languages, 33 in all, including Bengali, Danish, Swahili, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese. The post does not list the rest. It presents this as a change to the app, not to the model. The release notes still have no October 29 entry for CarPlay, voice, or these languages.
