# Anthropic updates Claude to Opus 4.8

Anthropic released **Claude Opus 4.8**, an update to [Claude](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/claude>). The company says the model shows sharper judgment, is more honest about its own progress on a task, and can work independently for longer stretches. It's available at the same price as the previous version.
