# Anthropic raises Claude API rate limits, simplifies tiers

Top-tier Sonnet and Haiku users get 5x higher limits, and tiers no longer depend on API spend.

Anthropic raised API rate limits for all users of the [Claude](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/claude>) Platform and simplified the tier system so tiers are no longer based on API spend. The latest Sonnet and Haiku models now get **5x higher** rate limits at the top tier.
