# Claude Code 2.1.306

By Steven Van · 2026-10-21

Version 2.1.306 fixes a false "Not logged in" error for claude -p in cloud sessions and a misleading "prompt is too long" error with many MCP tools.

Two bug fixes ship in [Claude Code](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/claude-code>) 2.1.306, as listed in the [changelog](<https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md#21306>).

- Running claude -p inside a cloud session no longer reports "Not logged in" when it is started without the session's environment variables.

- In sessions with many MCP tools, an API error is no longer replaced by a "prompt is too long" message, and an unneeded compaction no longer runs.

The changelog gives no further detail on either fix.
