By Steven Van · 2026-09-12

A 2.1.270 patch to Anthropic's Claude Code fixes a regression that made read-only git commands wrongly prompt for permission in long sessions.

Claude Code 2.1.270 fixes a regression from version 2.1.269 that caused read-only git commands in Bash to unexpectedly ask for permission after a session had been running for a while. [The update](<https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md#21270>) restores the previous behaviour so those commands no longer trigger unnecessary permission prompts.
