# Claude Cowork comes to every conversation

The Cowork and chat modes are merging, with the change rolling out gradually to Pro and Max plans on web, desktop, and mobile.

[Claude](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/claude>) no longer asks you to choose a mode before you start. Anthropic is rolling out [a new experience](<https://support.claude.com/en/articles/16761823>) that makes everything Claude Cowork does available from any conversation, so a quick question and a bigger task, like a report, spreadsheet, or presentation, can begin in the same chat. Existing chats, Cowork tasks, projects, connectors, and skills carry over into the merged experience, which is rolling out gradually to **Pro** and **Max** plans on web, desktop, and mobile.
