# iCloud Mail and Calendar plugins are now in ChatGPT

By Steven Van · 2026-10-27

All ChatGPT plans on web, desktop, and iOS can connect iCloud Mail and Calendar with an Apple app-specific password.

On October 27, [ChatGPT](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/chatgpt>) added iCloud Mail and iCloud Calendar as plugins. OpenAI's release notes say you can find an email, catch up on an inbox, check what is next, and update a calendar event. The plugins are on every ChatGPT plan, on the web, the desktop app, and iOS.

ChatGPT's announcement demo of the iCloud Mail plugin.

Mail and Calendar are separate plugins, so connecting one leaves the other unconnected. Both include a read-only contact lookup. Setup is under Settings, then Plugins, and it asks for an Apple app-specific password in the connection form, not in the chat. Mail takes an address ending in @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com. Calendar takes the primary Apple Account email, which can differ. Standalone Contacts and Reminders plugins are outside this launch.

A workspace admin can still hide a plugin. The release notes do not list Android, and they do not say whether these plugins are available in ChatGPT Work, Dots, or Voice.
