# Turn chat suggestions on or off

Autocomplete in the Base44 AI chat is on by default, and the setting in the More options menu is saved to your account for all apps.

The AI chat in [Base44](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/base44>) can suggest what to write next in your message, a feature called Autocomplete. It is on by default and can be switched off or back on at any time, according to the [Base44 documentation](<https://docs.base44.com/Building-your-app/AI-chat-modes#using-suggestions>).

## Turning Autocomplete on or off

- Click the More options icon at the bottom right of the AI chat in the app editor.

- Turn Autocomplete on or off.

## Where the setting applies

The choice is saved to your account, so it applies to all your apps rather than just the one you are working in.
