# SSO and data residency on the Business plan

Existing workspaces keep their earlier plan requirements, while newer workspaces can upgrade to Business from billing settings.

Workspaces created in [Base44](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/base44>) on or after October 1, 2026 require a **Business or Enterprise** plan for workspace SSO, SSO for apps, and data residency.

## Existing workspaces keep their requirements

Workspaces created before October 1 keep their earlier plan requirements. For app SSO, the documentation specifies Elite or higher. Workspaces can upgrade to Business directly from their workspace billing settings.

## Signing in through an identity provider

App SSO lets people sign in through an external identity provider instead of creating a separate app login. The SSO setup documentation covers the supported providers and configuration steps.
