# Sign in with a Microsoft name that is not your email

By Steven Van · 2026-08-29

If your Microsoft sign-in name is different from your email address, you can now sign in with either one.

Base44 now lets users sign in with either their Microsoft email address or a separate sign-in name, if the two differ. The [change](<https://docs.base44.com/changelog/product#august-29-2026>) matches users against the identifiers Microsoft provides, so no extra setup is needed from the user or their admin.
