# Session recordings in school workspaces

Only owners and admins can enable recordings in school workspaces with student privacy protections.

Only workspace owners and admins can now turn on an app’s session recordings in [Base44](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/base44>) school workspaces with student privacy protections.

Recordings that were enabled before those protections were added stay off until an owner or admin turns them back on, according to the [October 9 update](<https://docs.base44.com/changelog/product#october-9-2026>).
