# Real image thumbnails and direct uploads in the Data tab

Uploaded images appear as thumbnails in the Data and Users tables, and URL fields in the edit drawer take file uploads.

Uploaded images now show real thumbnails in the Data and Users tables of [Base44](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/base44>). URL fields in the record edit drawer also accept a file upload directly, so a file no longer has to be hosted elsewhere and pasted in as a link.

The change was listed in the [product changelog](<https://docs.base44.com/changelog/product#september-22-2026>) under Data & media. The entry gives no plan restrictions.
